Auditor

The Icelandic National Audit Office is seeking a strong addition to its financial audit team. The role involves diverse tasks in auditing the state accounts and the accounts of state entities, performed both independently and in teams. The auditor position falls under the Financial Audit Department, with offices located in Reykjavík and Akureyri. The National Auditor works on behalf of the Althing (Parliament) and is its trustee according to Law no. 46/2016, concerning the National Auditor and the audit of state accounts. The role of the National Audit Office is to oversee the operations and finances of the state and to ensure that funds are allocated efficiently and equitably in accordance with the decisions of the Althing.
