Construction and Groundwork Positions

PK Verk is looking for two employees for general construction work and two to three employees for surface finishing, paving and groundwork. PK Verk is a contractor based in Hafnarfjörður that carries out infrastructure and construction projects, ranging from utility pipes and road construction to new buildings, for public and private clients. We have around 35 employees. Building Division – General Construction Work Main tasks: - General construction work on new buildings, from foundations to completion. - Maintenance, repairs and renovation of existing buildings. - Other tasks as needed. Infrastructure Division – Surface Finishing and Groundwork Main tasks: - Paving and surface finishing. - General groundwork. - Other tasks as needed. Skills and experience: Building Division - Experience in construction work is required. - A journeyman's certificate in carpentry is an advantage. Infrastructure Division - Experience in paving and surface finishing is required. - Experience in groundwork and utility lines. General requirements (both positions) - Independent, careful and safe working practices. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Good command of English. - Valid driving licence. - Icelandic machine and/or crane licences are an advantage.
