Cost Controller

Verne Global is seeking to hire an experienced individual for the role of "Cost Controller" to support the financial and business management of a data center construction project, executed according to a "FIDIC Yellow Book" design and build contract. The individual will be responsible for cost control at the construction site and will manage budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow, changes, claims, and financial risks at all stages of the project. This is a key role providing oversight of the financial status, cost assurance, and robust financial management in a fast-paced environment. Key tasks and responsibilities: - Monitoring project budgets, costs, commitments, and financial forecasts. - Managing cost changes, claims, and financial risks. - Reviewing payment requests, invoices, and purchase orders. - Preparing cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and updating the Estimate at Completion (EAC). - Providing support for contract administration, financial management, and risk management. - Communicating and collaborating with project, engineering, construction, procurement, and finance teams. Education and qualification requirements: - Good knowledge and experience in cost control for large-scale projects in civil engineering, data centers, industry, energy, or infrastructure. - Experience with cost forecasting, reporting, planning, and other administration. - Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) where the contractor is responsible for both design and execution. - Very good proficiency in Excel and experience with project and cost management. - Experience with ERP systems and ACC is an advantage. - Good analytical skills and experience in stakeholder communication. - Good communication and collaboration skills. - Initiative, independence, and organized work methods.
