This involves shift work in a 24/7 operation, all year round, according to a defined shift system. Employees receive thorough training at the beginning and ongoing support in their work. Work locations are in: - A data center located 2km from Blönduós - A data center in Reykjanesbær Main tasks and responsibilities - Daily monitoring of equipment, infrastructure, and the data center environment - Regular monitoring and environmental surveillance - Obtaining relevant certifications and/or qualifications to operate equipment - Handling, analysis, and follow-up of incidents, notifications, and service requests - Execution of standardized procedures and safety checks - Communication and cooperation with suppliers, service providers, and partners domestically and internationally - General technical assistance and testing as needed in data center operations Educational and qualification requirements - Basic knowledge and/or experience with data centers, technical infrastructure, network, or electrical equipment is an advantage - Initiative, reliability, and ability for independent work - Good communication skills and professional demeanor - A driver's license is necessary - Education in electrical installation or electronics installation is an advantage Ofar's role is to support companies, institutions, and resellers with computer and technology equipment from over 150 world-renowned brands such as Lenovo, IBM, Canon, Bose, and Sony.
