Economist

The Central Bank of Iceland wishes to hire an economist for the research and forecasting team in the economics and monetary policy division. The economics and monetary policy division is responsible for analyzing the development of domestic and foreign economic and monetary affairs, making macroeconomic and inflation forecasts, and risk assessments that form the basis for monetary policy formulation. Analysis of the current situation and economic outlook is published in the publication Peningamál and its English version, Monetary Bulletin. The division also participates in shaping exchange rate and monetary policy and conducts research in the field of economics and monetary affairs.
