General Manager / Housekeeper

We are seeking a reliable, highly organized, and motivated General Manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our apartment hotel and guesthouse in Akureyri. The General Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all properties operate efficiently, maintain consistently high standards, and provide guests with a professional, comfortable, and welcoming experience. The role includes overseeing housekeeping and daily operations, coordinating and supervising staff, preparing work schedules, assigning responsibilities, monitoring the condition and presentation of the properties, and ensuring that apartments and guest areas are fully prepared for arrivals. The General Manager will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication between housekeeping, customer service, maintenance, and other relevant parties. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills, be comfortable taking ownership of daily operations, and have the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Attention to detail, reliability, flexibility, and a hands-on approach are essential, as the position requires both effective management and a willingness to assist with operational tasks when necessary.
