Night Guard at 360 Hótel

Night guard wanted, starting early October. Do you work well on your own, and keep your head when something happens? 360 Hótel is a five-star, family-run hotel just outside Selfoss, with 31 rooms and suites, a restaurant and a spa. We are looking for a night guard to look after the property and our guests overnight. Shifts run from 23:30 to 07:30 and the role starts in early October. We are 15 minutes from Selfoss and about an hour from Reykjavík, so please consider the commute before applying. You would be the only person on site during the night, so this suits someone reliable, self-directed and calm. The night shift is quiet most of the time, and the person who does it well is the one who is ready when it is not. Main tasks and responsibilities: Night audit, daily reports and closing the day's accounts. Receiving late arrivals and looking after guests through the night. Security rounds of the property, and monitoring fire and alarm systems. Night room service, taking and delivering orders. Tidying and preparing the spa for the following day. Laundry and linen handling. Preparing the property and the handover for the morning shift. Qualifications and requirements: Reliability and punctuality, this is a role where someone is counting on you turning up. Ability to work alone and use your own judgement. A calm head in an emergency. Comfortable with computers and basic accounts. Good English. Icelandic is an advantage. Experience in hotels or night work is an advantage. Must be 20 or older, as the role includes serving alcohol.
