Project Manager Design

Do you want to influence how state housing is created? Framkvæmdasýslan-Ríkiseignir (FSRE) currently has an exciting opening for a Project Manager in the Design Department within the field of design and planning. Here you will have the opportunity to lead projects from the initial concept to the tender for construction, in close cooperation with other departments of FSRE, ministries, and institutions. The Design Department is responsible for project management during preliminary assessments, conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design, monitoring project progress regarding cost, quality, and time, preparing tenders and tender documents in collaboration with tender specialists, as well as preparing handover assessments for design components. The projects are diverse and relate to, among other things, facilities for institutions and ministries, renovation of structures, and leasing projects, both within and outside FSRE's property portfolio. As a Project Manager, you will have financial and managerial responsibility for projects, from the initial analysis through design and tendering. You will lead the design process and keep track of all threads, but the design work itself is not your responsibility. You will work independently, take initiative, and utilize your expertise, participate in project groups across the institution, and support other FSRE departments with needs assessments and preliminary investigations. The position reports to the Head of the Design Department.
