The Central Bank of Iceland wishes to hire a strong candidate to oversee financial risks of supervised entities in the financial market, with an emphasis on market, interest rate, and investment risk. The job includes, among other things, assessing financial institutions' fixed interest rate risk (IRRBB), the impact of market changes on assets and liabilities, the use of derivatives and hedging, and how supervised entities manage risk factors. This is a diverse role offering opportunities to deepen knowledge of risks in the banking, pension, and insurance markets, and to gain a comprehensive view of various risk factors in the financial market. The Prudential Supervision Department oversees the operations of financial institutions, insurance companies, pension funds, and other companies in the financial market. The department's activities also include maintaining an overview of the development of risks in the financial market and relevant regulations. The Financial Risk Factors Division conducts analysis and supervision of the main financial risk factors of these entities, including credit, market, liquidity, and funding risks. The Prudential Supervision Department also participates in assessing systemic risk in cooperation with the bank's Financial Stability Department.
