Hafnarfjarðarbær is seeking to hire an experienced and organized individual for the position of System Administrator in the Development and Computer Department. Hafnarfjarðarbær has been a leading municipality in the implementation of digital and technological solutions and aims to be at the forefront. The Development and Computer Department manages and shapes policy for the computer affairs of the municipality and its affiliated institutions, as well as overseeing coordination and supervision. The department is responsible for the operation of all computer systems and ensures that the handling of systems and data is in accordance with the municipality's needs and security requirements. The System Administrator will actively participate in the operation and development of the municipality's technological environment, provide technical guidance to colleagues, and work closely with external experts. The position reports to the Head of the Development and Computer Department. We are looking for an individual with extensive experience in Microsoft environments, cloud services, and modern IT operations, who enjoys solving complex technical issues and can prioritize diverse tasks where security, automation, and good user service go hand in hand.
