Technician or Engineer for Project Realization

HD is looking for a technician or engineer for the Technical Department who wants to work on diverse projects for Icelandic industry and follow solutions from the initial idea to implementation and delivery. We are looking for an individual who is interested in understanding the real needs of customers and developing solutions that meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, and time. At HD, design and implementation are closely linked. Projects can begin with measurements, analysis, or conversations with the customer and evolve through equipment selection, design, cost estimation, tender preparation, production, installation, and commissioning. This is a job for an individual who not only wants to design solutions but also see them become a reality. You will be part of a strong team in HD's Technical Department and work closely with project managers, designers, workshops, sales staff, and condition analysis specialists. You will also have direct communication with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. The job may also involve condition monitoring, maintenance plans, equipment registration, spare parts analysis, and operational risk assessment. The goal is to utilize technical knowledge to prevent failures, improve equipment utilization, reduce response times, and increase customers' operational safety.
