Tour guide jobs in Iceland
Guiding is the most international job in Iceland: the guests speak English, German, Spanish or Chinese, so the guide does too. Day-tour and bus guides, glacier and ice-cave guides, whale-watching crew, hiking and highland guides are hired for summer from January onwards and increasingly for the winter season. Outdoor qualifications, first aid and a driving licence are the usual advantages; Icelandic is a bonus, not a requirement.
